“Money is needed for equipment, proper facilities and to attract and retain top researchers in the field,” says Mr. Bryan Rapson who through his own career in industrial engineering has gained an appreciation of the difficulties faced by those in the field of medical research. “Success in complicated research often is not a major discovery, but a series of smaller discoveries that add pieces to the puzzle. Each new piece points the way to new discoveries that, over time, will solve that puzzle.” Mr. Rapson recently made an endowed gift of stock to generate annual income in support of research activities funded by Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation. He has also remembered the Foundation in his will, providing a legacy to support local research endeavors.
