In 2002, Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) decided to mount a Molly Appeal to raise funds for the world-renowned Brain Repair Centre (BRC). The public responded enthusiastically to the campaign, which raised $134,000. DMRF combined these funds with a generous bequest to make a $500,000 contribution to the creation of a Cell Restoration Lab for brain repair studies.
