Dr. Susan Bryson, Craig Chair in Autism Research
Dr. Susan Bryson joined Dalhousie from York University in Toronto in 2001 to accept positions in the departments of Pediatrics and Psychology, as well as the Craig Chair in Autism Research. This chair was established through a generous donation of $1 million to Dalhousie University from Joan and Jack Craig. DMRF is supporting the chair by building an endowment to help fund the difference. A founding member of the Canadian Autism Intervention Research Network, Dr. Bryson is also well known for her work to establish the Autism Research Unit at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. Her research emphasizes early identification and intervention, along with emotional, attentional and psychiatric aspects of autism.

Dr. Susan Bryson, (Jack and Joan Craig Chair in Autism Research) presented her research at the 2003 annual meeting of the Foundation's Board of Directors. She is seen here with Irene and Brian MacLeod who reported on their efforts to raise additional funds to support Dr. Bryson's work in autism. Click here for more about Dr. Bryson's research.
